Doug’s latest radio single “Heat Wave” is out now and hits smooth jazz radio today!
“Heat Wave”, the new single from Doug Jones, is another collaboration with hit Producer / Songwriter / Keyboardist Chris “Big Dog” Davis. This is the second time Doug has worked with Chris - following the single "New Situation", which was released last September to considerable radio airplay.
Doug’s new EP “Tonight” is out now everywhere. Doug wrote, arranged, produced and recorded all of the tracks on the EP except for "New Situation”, which is a collaboration with Producer / Gerald Albright Keyboardist and solo artist, Chris “Big Dog” Davis. Doug plays Alto, Tenor, Soprano saxophones, flute, EWI and keyboards on the new EP.
Doug’s new CD “Home For Christmas” is out now and available wherever you get your music. The CD contains Doug’s jazzy take on 8 beloved Christmas tunes and several amazing guest musicians including Rick Handville, Troy Slocum, Pete Hickey, Fran Merante, and Joel Kibble.

“Heat Wave”, the new single from Doug Jones, is another collaboration with hit Producer / Songwriter / Keyboardist Chris “Big Dog” Davis. This is the second time Doug has worked with Chris - following the single "New Situation", which was released last September to considerable radio airplay. Doug Jones is a longtime East Coast musician performing throughout New England as well as South America. Chris “Big Dog” Davis is a two time Grammy nominated writer and producer working with Maysa, Gerald Albright, Najee and others.
Doug Jones, a Connecticut native, expresses his passion for music through his compositions and performances. His career spans many years performing in different venues in the Northeast from the Hartford Jazz Festival to clubs in Newport, Manhattan and Boston as well as South America.
Doug’s saxophone influences are David Sanborn, Grover Washington, Tom Scott, Bobby Keys and Edgar Winter. In addition to his own contemporary jazz group, Doug’s unique style of playing can also be heard with Top New England acts such as Steppin' Out as well as blues recording artist, Mark Nomad.
